GDPR Notice

Last updated: August 25, 2026

1. Our approach

For people in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, Beacon aims to process personal data fairly, transparently, and only for defined operational purposes. This notice supplements the Privacy Policy and explains rights that may apply under data-protection law.

The exact rights and obligations can depend on where you live, the type of data involved, and the role Beacon has in a particular processing activity.

2. Purposes and legal bases

Beacon may process data to provide the service you request, maintain a server configuration, authenticate a dashboard session, respond to support, prevent fraud and abuse, keep the service secure, comply with a legal obligation, or improve reliability.

Depending on the context, the legal basis may be performance of a service relationship, legitimate interests, consent where required, or compliance with a legal obligation. Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider the impact on individuals and the safeguards available.

3. Data minimization and retention

We aim to collect only information that is relevant to a feature and to avoid keeping it longer than needed. Live configuration data may be retained while a server uses the relevant function. Security logs, support records, and legal records may have different retention periods because they help investigate abuse or satisfy obligations.

When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymize it, aggregate it, or securely restrict access according to our operational procedures.

4. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to personal data, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, restriction of processing, portability of certain data, or objection to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent when processing is based on consent, without affecting earlier lawful processing.

You may also complain to a data-protection supervisory authority. We encourage you to contact Beacon first so we can understand the concern and try to resolve it, but contacting an authority remains your right.

5. How to make a request

Use the support option on the Beacon website and describe the request clearly. Please identify the relevant Discord account, server, or feature without sending passwords or tokens. We may ask for reasonable verification so that we do not disclose or delete another person's information.

We aim to respond without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law. If a request is complex, repeated, or legally limited, we may explain the reason for an extension, refusal, or partial response.

6. Transfers and providers

Beacon may use infrastructure and service providers in countries outside your home country. Where required, we seek an appropriate legal mechanism and safeguards for international transfers, such as an adequacy decision, contractual protections, or another recognized basis.

Providers receive access only to the information needed for their role and are expected to protect it. Discord is a separate service, so data handled directly by Discord is governed by Discord’s own policies.
